[...] Adventuring Under the Sea I’ll admit that I’ve never run a long-term game under the seas or oceans. I have done some adventures with water areas or small plot arcs under water, but never a whole campaign. I’m not sure how that would work out, honestly. It seems like lots of effort to me, but the advice from Nicholas may help you out some. var addthis_pub = ''; var addthis_language = 'en';var addthis_options = 'email, favorites, digg, delicious, myspace, google, facebook, reddit, live, more'; [...]

I've been looking for an idea for a new adventure for my group of 4e players. I'm goign to try this out.

I love the idea of three-dimensional combat. The last campaign I ran involved a lot of air-combat, and I can tell you it gets very interesting.

@Kobold Minion: I'm not Jewish, but I find their myths and stories really interesting. I think it really is under used in fantasy. Personally I've borrowed from the golem of Prague story with great results.

I had a legend-of-zelda inspired underwater temple. For half the adventure the players had to find the means of breathing underwater. Then, they ventured into the Dragonmere and found the ancient temple of Melora. The goal was to convince the Leviathan (whale-thing) to fight the unstoppable Behemoth (a massive bull). It was fun, even though this story is completely ripped off of Jewish mythology.

my very first campaign was geographically based in an area that directly related to where i live, the Whitsundays. As a coastal area with many many islands my players had several run ins with aquatic situations. The dragon leviathan being my favourite.

Love the eel kobolds and aquatic cube they are some great ideas.
