Getting players to join in on the blog/wiki can be tough. For our adventure write-ups, I just assign one player to take notes each session and do the write-up. Considering how much work I do as DM, I don't think it's too much to ask. Plus, I won't give XP until the blog post is up, at least as a rough draft.

Martin from Treasure Tables has a good post on how to run a campaign website: http://www.treasuretables.org/2005/07/running-a-campaign-website

I guess the basic idea to take away is: some players love to join in, some just don't care.

Some of the content will be hosted here. I'll keep the Obsidian Portal a player resource and I'll link to the DM stuff hosted on Dungeon Mastering.

Anyway that's the plan for now.

Yeah. It's mostly going to be backstory, rumors, and events so the characters have a good feel for the game when it starts.

I'll add a few scenes and tactical encounters in there too.

Hey, good idea starting one early for the campaign. Are you going to put a lot of back story there? I started to use Obsidian Portal a few adventures in, but the players don't seem to bother to check it when I put background info on there- they just want their recap and XP total.
