Keep on the Shadowfell IS marketted to D&D geeks.

They’re coming out with a basic set in the fall designed for getting new players into the fold. KotS is for people who are already into RPGs, to bring them up to speed on 4e.

To be honest, I’ve not seen much of it. A few of the guys in my local group post snippets on our group forum and I received a large, full-colour, ad sheet in the post but it’s not exactly been smacking me over the head.

Which is a good thing (IMHO) as I’m not exactly enthused with what I’ve heard/read so far. So much so that, at the beginning of the year, I made the leap to Savage Worlds! I’ll still play D&D 3.5 (I’ve spent too much money on 3.5 product to just ignore it), but any new RPG purchases will either be to fill holes in my 3.5 collection or Savage Worlds supplements/campaign settings.
