D&D Monday morning speedlinking

It’s Monday morning and you painfully get out of bed, dreading every second at work.  Thankfully you have the prospect of an epic Cinco de Mayo party to keep you going.  If you don’t you’ll have to rely heavily on caffeine.  You might want to brew one or two liters to get you started.

Anyhow, on to the links:

• Dragon Avenue is my best find in a while.  Why didn’t I know about that website before this week.  Someone has to tell me these things! Check their theoretical redesign of the D&D website – masterfully done.  And I say that as a member of an award-winning design team. (Yes, I just tooted my own horn along with Dragon Avenue’s).
• The Chatty DM is holding a fun contest – the 10 words adventure synopsis contest. I believe you have until tomorrow to participate.
• I was at home googling “mutant bears” last night – yes, my girlfriend is out of town – and I discovered a massively entertaining website: Heroes and Monsters!  Check it out. You owe it to yourself.
• True story: I was 2 days late on the purchase of the domain name “dnd4e.com” but the guys who bought it are just redirecting the domain name to a bland-looking blog.  I won’t even link to them.  I hope they’ll make the purchase worth it.  Maybe they’re just waiting for a purchase offer.  In any case, it’s a waste of good web real estate.

• The hardcore quiz fans may have notice a lack of survey recently.  Well, I am building a user interface to make the quizzes.  So far I’ve always copied and pasted the code and made tweaks every week.  I’m even thinking into making the quiz code into a wordpress plugin.  We’ll see how that turns out.  Anyhow, keep up hope.  I’ll be making quizzes three times faster when I’m done with the quiz-builder app.
