D&D Monday morning speedlinking

It’s Monday morning and you’re sleepdriving to work, thinking that blissful first caffeine rush of the work will kick in at any moment. We all know the feeling. The good thing is you don’t have to do any actual work when you sit down at your desk. Just click on a few of these links – it should keep you busy until lunch!

The links

  • Son of a red dragon! Why didn’t anyone tell me about Kingdom of Loathing! You have absolutely NO excuse to NOT play this game. That’s a double negative and it means “play KOL now!” It’s a great RPG experience. Where else can you play a seal clubber or disco robber?
  • Gnome Stew holds a weekly gnome rodeo (that’s a link roundup in gnomish) and they dug up some gems this week. Just hope that they’re not linking to a link round up themselves – it would start a infinite chain reaction of one link leading to more links.
  • The Wandering Men now have a cool store. Check out this Cthulhu t-shirt to whet your shopping appetite.

That’s it for this week. I spent too much time working on the blog and I’m pooped. Take care and have fun gaming!

Meet Expy The Red Dragon

Expy is the mascot for DungeonMastering.com and the real mastermind behind Expy Games. He likes to hoard treasure, terrorize neighbors, burn down villages, and tell white dragon jokes..

No matter how fearful the legends claim dragons are, they always end up being defeated in 5 rounds by adventuring parties they encounter. That’s what dragons are – experience points for the heroes in your Dungeons & Dragon party. And this mascot is no different, hence the name Expy.

Bandit. That’s Disco Bandit, not Robber.

There’s an excellent Wiki for KoL:

Try to solve puzzles and stuff on your own, first, before resorting to the wiki. There’s also http://kolmafia.sourceforge.net and http://noblesse-oblige.org for useful KoL stuff.

Thanks for the links and the mention! The link to the Wandering Men store (where you can buy our 5 star rated novel, Skein of Shadows, cool Tshirts and more) is:

    Thanks! :D

Yeah, Disco Bandit. And thanks for the links.

Thanks for the link too – I’ll edit the article. Keep up the good work.
