The hero machine

Random thoughts

I just drank an insane amount of coffe. I’ve had a cup in my hand for 3 solid hours. Why do I do this to myself?

The hero machine

I just discovered the Hero Machine. It allows you to draw quick sketches of heroes, character, and NPCs - no talent required. It took me 2 minutes to figure out how to work the hero machine - which means I’m slow, or you’ll need to read the instructions. But that 2 minutes was worth it!

Art will make your D&D campaign better

With appropriate art to support description and imagination your roleplaying experience will be enhanced. Aside from using the hero machine to generate and print character sketches, here are a few art resources that I browse every now and then:

Hero Machine seriously rocks. Refore I started using DAZ Studio (and then Poser), we used Hero Machine for all our character portraits. I still crank it open if I just want a quick character sketch. Nice tool.

There’s a large handful of the characters we made here and here.

Actually, there’s a new version of HeroMachine - v2.5. Best site I’ve found for it is UGO, strangely.

There goes thirty minutes. Procrastination time well spent.
    Thanks.

The site’s searchability is absolutely awesome. There seem to be quite a few talented people displaying their stuff there. I’d recommend checking it out.
