    29% and that includes a positive modifier… I got trampled by Expy’s knowledge…

  2. Alberto says:

67%! Im the luckies guy! I had no clue!!!

  3. Swingman333 says:

    “YOUR SCORE: 39%

Wow… That must hurt. It’s ok – I’m sure your parents still love you.”

    It does hurt.

  4. halflingzombierunforyourlife says:

3? 3 out of 100? On 9 questions? How is that even possible? This sucks.

  5. Will says:

57 + a 2 point psychic modifier. Pretty good since I reckon I only got 3 questions right! Curse Finland for being ignorant of the dragon.

Isn’t Fafnir now known in all countries where there’s a Dugeonmastering reader though? Or does the question mean known personally and invited round for dinner once a month?

  6. Maikl says:

    YOUR SCORE: 62% ;
I hope none of you thought Russia is in Scandinavia…

  7. Hazgarn says:

Technically answer b could also be correct for #7, as he -did- cook the heart before he ate it. This is actually a rather important element of the story, as he was originally cooking it for Regin. It was when he burnt his finger on the meat and heard the speech of birds telling him that Regin planned to kill him that he ate the heart himself and slew Regin instead.

  8. B. F. Sabinsky says:

You are aware that Finland has a sizable Swedish minority, right? And is also known there, because of that?

You did alright. You should google ‘famous dragons’ more often.

Most of it was guesses! though saying “What did XXX do with the heart” kinda gives it away. :P

  10. Sien says:

78%. The other questions gave away who killed him. Basic knowledge on the Ring Cycle actually helps in several questions, such as who created him. Siegfried is actually Wagner’s equivalent of Frodo.

  11. Sandrinnad says:

    YOUR SCORE: 47-10 = 37%

not bad for remembering it from an Andre Norton novel :D

just a quibble with the wording of question #1: anyone in any country who knows Norse mythology could know of Fafnir….

ive always been better at the egyptian, greco-roman pantheons. norse didnt appeal to me cause of the lack of slutty women.

  13. B. F. Sabinsky says:

There are slutty women in Norse mythology.

Freya, for example, has had sex with four dwarves to get get her hands on Brisingamen, and she’s also slept with Frey, her own brother.

  14. Russell says:

    71 -2 69%

    What’s this psych profile?

According to wikipedia, Wagner’s play was Der Ring des Nibelungen.

  15. Yax says:

The psychological modifier is an indication of how much the survey’s AI likes you. Negative modifier means that you could be messed up and the survey doesn’t like you. Sorry to break it to you.

Now about Richie (Wagner)… I got from two different sources that Wagner’s opera was Siegfried. Maybe he came up with a play on top of the opera?

  16. niggle says:

    Your score before profiling: 61 / 100
    Your psychological profiling modifier:
    YOUR SCORE: 65%

Astounding! You passed! Are you a dragon scholar?

    yay for random guessing

  17. Russell says:

Siegfried is the third of the four operas that comprise Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung)

According to Wikipedia. So we’re both right. :)

Anyway to improve the psych profile? Give Expy some gold maybe?

  18. Yax says:

I don’t know how I could make the psych profile more perfect (i.e. more random)!

  19. R says:

    Your score before profiling: 92 / 100
    Your psychological profiling modifier: 7
    YOUR SCORE: 99%

Almost perfect! Fafnir aficionados everywhere are impressed right now.

Am I the only one who consistently uses Norse myth in my games though? When ever players need a big smack down I have them enter a drinking contest or wrestling match with Thor, or a story telling contest with Odin, or a beauty contest with Sif or some other variation of whatever they think they are the best at (usually while they are only level 10 or so) with someone who outclasses them a million ways to Sunday.

Just to remind them that their are bigger fish in the sea mind you. No-one has been dumb enough to actually try to and fight one of them… yet.

  20. Cecium says:

    Your score before profiling: 76 / 100
    Your psychological profiling modifier:
    YOUR SCORE: 74%

Yay for actually knowing fafnir story
