Here’s another installment of the Sunday morning D&D quiz. There’s only 5 months left before the 4th edition of Dungeons & Dragons is published so all the DMs out there should be at their storytelling apex.
Here’s a concrete way to test your knowledge of the finer details of the game.

I’ll post the answers later this week. I’m sorry to make you wait. Until then you can always grab a copy of the Monster Manual 3.5. That’s where I took all the answers.

50%? I got pwned by the quiz.

72%? cool!
Though I’m a little hurt that you’re excluding us gaming girls from an amusing out of the Gorgon question :)

@Sandrinnad:
I edited the question. :)

is there a reason the total is over 100%?
9:01 am on January 27th, 2008
So what are the correct answers?
9:23 am on January 27th, 2008
94%!!!

I believe that I was duped. The last quiz clearly indicated that the last answer was right on each one, I think that it is unfair to move around where the correct answers are!

@Bob:
The reason you can score over 100% is that Dungeon Mastering uses profiling tools to adjust the score. How fast you take the test, how much you love red dragons, and if you are one with the internet at the moment you take the test - it all affects your score and can push it over 100% or under 0%.
@Russell:
I’ll post the answers soon.
@Arokiry
You were indeed duped. In your face! :)

Hooray, the scoring system is completely random.
I clicked back and submitted the same answers again. My score changed from 65% to 75% to 73% to 62%…
Screwy!
And a roper is a stalagmite, not a tree. Yet tree gives you more points. From the MM: “This creature looks much like a natural stalagmite”

All right… The truth has to come out. I have boasted about my state-of-the-art profiling. But I don’t really profile anything. I just coded a randomized algorithm.
That being said… The correct answer to question number 1 is that a roper is an evil stalagmite. You always a better chance of scoring high if you get all the right answers. I can’t give too many details about the “profiling” process though.

Every right answer is worth 2d6%?
8:58 am on January 28th, 2008
118%, nice!

@Graham:
I was not smart enough to come up with a 2d6 or 2d8 per good answer algorithm. It’ a great idea.
@Mr. Drain:
That’ why you’re THE d20 source!

Wow.. for a second there I was going to be happy with my %55 percent.. but, it turns out that they quiz gives pitty points??? I’m crushed! ;-)

I’m pretty sure that a Gorgon can not fly. So Hover and FlybyAttack are the most ovious.
