Every couple of months I put aside a couple hours to take a state-of-the-union look at Dungeon Mastering and other related projects.  I was really surprised – and pumped – to see that we just hit the 1 million pageviews plateau.  So for the occasion I decided to thank my top 5 people who helped me out, willingly or not.

#5 – Shelly Mazzanoble

The author of Confessions of a Part-time Sorceress: A Girl’s Guide to the D&D Game (Dungeons & Dragons) claims she didn’t do anything to help me out, but when I emailed her over a year ago she was kind enough to reply.  Little did she know that she was the first person from the RPG industry – I mean first one will a real job – to grace me with a few words.  It did wonders for my confidence.

#4 – The Chatty DM

Phil is so passionate about what he does – RPG or not.  I had the chance to meet him a few times in Montreal and at GenCon. He is a constant reminder that there is no substitute for enthusiasm. Needless to say everyone should read his blog! => Musings of the Chatty DM

#3 – Janna and Nicholas

I thought I was a good writer. Until I sought help with the website and Nicholas and Janna started writing for Dungeon Mastering.  My DM told me after they had written a few articles: “Hey, the new writers… They’re good!” The last part of the sentence was “Better than you!” but he is polite and never said it. :)

#2 – Ed Healy

Smart guy with plenty of projects and boundless energy.  He runs Kobold Quarterly and his latest project is Warpig Radio – an internet radio stream dedicated to RPG.  Unless I am mistaken it is the first of its kind.
