What’s going on at the Dungeon Mastering HQ?

Written by Expy - Published on April 3, 2009

Happy Friday everyone!

There’s so much stuff going on right now – a little bad, and a lot of good – that I thought I should let you know. Let’s get the bad stuff out of the way first:

RSS feed issues from March 28 to April 1

So, yeah, the RSS feed wasn’t working properly the last few days.  That means that if you read our articles on Google Reader or similar software, or if you get our almost-daily email updates, you might have missed some of the recent action.

Here are the articles you might have missed:

April Fool Switcheroo

Last Wednesday maybe you werre wondering why the Chatty DM was writing a D&D mailbag on Dungeon Mastering.  Well, it was April Fools day and a 5 RPG website switched articles (and a few of you noticed, good job!):

Dungeon Mastering was writing for Geek’s Dream Girl

Geek’s Dream Girl was writing for Critical Hits

Critical Hits was writing for Stupid Ranger

Stupid Ranger was writing for ChattyDM

ChattyDM was writing for Dungeon Mastering

New items starting this month

Over the course of this month we’ll be introducing new features on the website:

  • Nerd WatchingNicholas will gives us his thoughts on what is hot in the RPG world.
  • Geeks Next Door – A 4 episodes exclusive webcomic brought to you by our friends at GeeksNextComic.com (starting tomorrow, actually)
  • D&D Randomness – Don’t you want more random generators?

And we will keep going with a few running items:

  • D&D Sunday Morning Quiz – Don’t worry! We will still provide you with your quiz fix every Sunday morning (or afternoon for the late risers)
  • Janna will grace us with 2 articles on everything and anything D&D every week

Meet Expy The Red Dragon

Expy is the mascot for DungeonMastering.com and the real mastermind behind Expy Games. He likes to hoard treasure, terrorize neighbors, burn down villages, and tell white dragon jokes..

No matter how fearful the legends claim dragons are, they always end up being defeated in 5 rounds by adventuring parties they encounter. That’s what dragons are – experience points for the heroes in your Dungeons & Dragon party. And this mascot is no different, hence the name Expy.
