I want to be nominated for a Ennies award in the fan-site category (I’m not saying I want to win… I aim at a nomination). I’m sending the paperwork later this week.
In fact for that last point, I want to challenge Yax of Dungeonmastering.com , the very 1st RPG blogger to post here, to a friendly duel for that nomination. Some healthy competition is a great motivator to create quality content.
I say:
You’re going down, Chatty! I haven’t lost a bet in, er, 2 weeks or so. So don’t expect me to roll over and lose that challenge. Ideally we’ll both get nominated, but the world is cruel and maybe only one of us will get nominated (me!). You’ll need help from all your minions - but you should be fair and tell them right away they’re helping you in a losing cause.
Gawd, I love trash talking.
Wait, am I still one of Chatty’s minions?

Nah I upgraded you to allied Overlord some time ago…
But that may change you Magnificent Bastard!
You are so ON!

I can already tell this is going to be fun. At least for me.
DON’T MAKE ME CHOOSE!
I think we all know that you’re a shoe-in to win this bet. ;)
We can’t tell Phil how lopsided this is going to be. It would sap his enthusiasm!
[...] that Yax has fallen in my fiendish trap by accepting my Ennies challenge, I thought I’d start the ball rolling by finally tackling one of my favorite tropes, the one [...]
Ha you fell for Asmor’s Ploy (He wrote teh exact same thing on my side)!
This is going to be such a cakewalk it’s not even funny!
;)
Maybe I’ll have to be more careful. This challenge might hide plenty of traps.
Phil is a bloody perfidious bastard. He gotta be hiding something ;-)
It’s Mr. Bloody perfidious bastard to you sir!
And I take this as a compliment!
You know Yax, this may end in a bloody duel at Gen Con… Hacky Sack vs hummmm…. Well placed Tropes?
:)

Thanks to my, er, sources I can tell you I am way ahead on this challenge. Who are my sources? Let’s just say red dragons are involved.
