D&D Monday morning speedlinking
Written by Yax - Published on August 20, 2007

DNDMMS 08-20-07

It’s Monday morning. You’re at work but you don’t want to do any actual work. I know the feeling. Here are some items of interest I haven’t talked about yet:

  • Roleplaying Tips has an insane amount of info for dungeon masters.
  • The random gnome’s random lair is a blog that features interesting RPG articles (I’m biased because they wrote about Dungeon Mastering).
  • Evil DM is like Maxim magazine for gamers.
  • RPG sheets - guess what they do. Yes! RPG character sheets. This almost got its own post but the website design was not good enough. Webmasters in the RPG industry need to step it up. I have said it before: my eyes hurt from surfing most RPG websites.
  • d20pro is a software for playing tabletop D&D from remote computers with your buddies. It’s a nice enough software. They also almost got their own post but they never answered my e-mails. Not surprising considering that on August 14 they were still announcing some website downtime for July 30-August 3. Maybe they’re not on top of things. But the software is nice. I’m not just bashing.
  • Nuklear Power - home of the 8-bit theatre - is a website that makes it easy for you to kill time at work.

Have fun at work!

Another link I’d recommend, although it’s updated very rarely now: http://www.criticalmiss.com/ — since some people do take the hobby far too seriously.
