Dungeon Mastering on Google Talk
Written by Yax - Published on September 8, 2007

Straight to the point

If you want to discuss D&D, RPGs, blogging, your cat, or the weather just add me to your Google talk contact list:

Caving in

After much deliberation I opted to plunge back into the chattosphere. I had almost completely stopped instant messaging because the people I really wanted to talk to to were only a phone call away. But…

Since the launch of Dungeon Mastering I made a lot of new friends and contacts that I want to stay in touch with. E-mail just doesn’t cut it anymore. The phone isn’t an option in most cases because I don’t know everyone personally - it would be like giving a new girlfriend the key to my apartment after we’ve dated twice.

So here I am with a brand new Google Talk account dedicated to all things geeky!

I’m scared

I must admit that I am terrorized at the idea of having an instant messenger running on my computer. I expect to have a blast talking about D&D and getting to know readers better. I’ll have to limit my networking hours.

I just hope there’s enough time in the day for both instant messaging and my Wednesday night parcheesi league!

You are a braver man than I am dude (although I realized that I sent you the invite a few days ago).

Just post a clear label when you need to be left alone to work and I won’t bother you.

For those Gtalking DMs other than Yax and myself my handle is Phil(dot)A(dot)Menard.

Yeah. I expect this to snowball quickly. When it does I’ll switch to announced times for chatting. For now I’ll just go with the flow and see what happens.

Get a job in Academia Yax. It’s the best of both worlds. :)
