DungeonMastering.com is looking for a writer and an editor
The website is growing fast. Wait, scratch that – the website was growing fast. Now I need some help to keep things moving and create content.
I will still be writing a few articles myself but my attention will be focused on managing the website, which is now run as a corporation rather than a personal venture – more on that soon. So…
Writer
If you like to talk and write about D&D, roleplaying games, and DMing you could be paid to do so! The workload is fairly light – this job could be yours if you have a little free time and a lot of enthusiasm.
Send your resume and a sample of your writing to yax@dungeonmastering.com
Editor
Formatting articles sneakily takes a few hours of my time every week and I sure could use some help with that – and I’ll pay for that help of course. Since DungeonMastering runs on wordpress, and the articles all have images linked to them, and the quizzes are written in php, well, there’s a few skills needed for this job.
To be a DungeonMastering.com editor you need:
- A good mastery of the english knowledge
- A fair knowledge of Photoshop (and your own copy and license of the software)
- A fair knowledge of the php programming language

Arete

My resume is sent! PHP, english and photoshop its really not a problom, after all i work with that all day…lol
Happy to see this site working out!
A mastery of the English language, perhaps? ;)
Sadly I am not well-versed in PHP, but if you ever need just a plain ol’ copy editor/proofreader, I’d be happy to help out!
Bah!
I could so do that editor job if I had a copy of Photoshop and PHP skills.
I’m a closet grammar Nazi on the intarw3bz, so an opportunity to correct a famous person’s grammar and spelling is a dream. I have a photoshop substitute, which has most of the features, but is as stable as a chair with half it’s legs chopped off. I guess that might qualify, but I suck at PHP currently. And I don’t know if the age of fourteen would look so cool on a resume…
Damn.
(A mastery of the English knowledge? What?)
That’s why I need an editor!
Ooo…a low-maintenance, paid writing position would be right up my impoverished college student alley…
Though what sample of writing to send will be a difficult decision…either more recent D&D-related stuff or my older expository comedy work…
*sigh*…I had better grab my d%…
Yax,
Do you have a deadline for the applications?
-Storyteller
The sooner the better. No specific deadline. Thanks to everyone who showed interest.
I also posted your ‘Help Wanted’ ad on the GenCon boards: http://community.gencon.com/forums/t/18494.aspx

Regarding ‘English Knowledge’, Yax was meaning you have to have at least 1 rank in that skill to apply.
Hey hey i wrote to you :) hope for a good time working! :D
I have a simpler solution… just Roll over your URL to mine :)
We’ll discuss profit sharing over a drink :)
J/k… I can’t tolerate Red Dragons…
@ Giorgio.
Yes, just got your mail. Will write you back. :) You’re actually the 2nd Italian this week to contact us. Ciao!
@ The Chatty DM
Thank you giving us an idea for an Expy piece. {cue evil laugh}
@ Yax
Your knowledge of English is much better than my knowledge of French Canadien. Do you speak other languages?
Nope, just french and english.
Huh. I would have guessed ‘Draconic.’
