New Lair!

Dungeon Mastering has a new look

Long time readers know that every few months I revamp the website. Well, I think you’ll like the new look. Hopefully, here’s what the new design will do:

  • Make articles easier to read.
  • Allow for easier site navigation.

That’s it.  The rest is just fluff.

Feedback is welcome

As always, we love to hear from you.  Let us know what you think.

Meet Expy The Red Dragon

Expy is the mascot for and the real mastermind behind Expy Games. He likes to hoard treasure, terrorize neighbors, burn down villages, and tell white dragon jokes..

No matter how fearful the legends claim dragons are, they always end up being defeated in 5 rounds by adventuring parties they encounter. That’s what dragons are – experience points for the heroes in your Dungeons & Dragon party. And this mascot is no different, hence the name Expy.

  1. As the wizard casts his light spell all becomes clear and layed out infront of us, we like what we see so we stay awhile searching for the treasers that this site may hold knowing that Here we are SAFE.

  2. As far as the front page is concerned, I think you did a great job. Although gimmicky the article rotator does its job pretty well. The top banner looks more polished and clean (which always a good thing). The article pages look ok. Not bad a redesign overall ….7/10 … and Tiamat would definitely still not be impressed.

  3. I like the new layout, but I don’t like having to scroll to the bottom of the page to know the author of the article. Besides that, it seems much more organised

  4. @Georgiana:

Yeah, good point. I like to have the author at the top of the article too. I’ll get that fixed sometime soon.

  5. Looks great!

For some reason, my favorite part is the blueprint image you’ve got as the thumbnail for this article. Expy really seems to have a big lair!
