124 Names For Your Next Warlock Character In 5th Edition D&D
Names have power, and Warlocks know this best. Signing a pact with a patron means they know you on an uncomfortably intimate level. Rest assured, your name will always be kicking around somewhere in the back of their head as they sit, ready to pull on your leash whenever they need something.
Warlocks tend to gather infamy as they travel, so consider what you want people to whisper when you step into a tavern and pull down your hood.
A Warlock name can come from any background, such as your character’s race, but some Warlocks take on new names to please their patrons or pay homage to a powerful Warlock from the past in hopes their new name will open up doors to new eldritch secrets.

How to Come Up With a Good Warlock Name
Warlocks tend to take names from their race’s culture, but if their Pact came about from an unorthodox childhood, their race might not have influenced them. In this case, think about what your Warlock was exposed to. If they grew up imprisoned in a library, they might be named after a historical figure. If they were isolated from society in a temple, they might take the name of a famous paladin.
A good rule of thumb is that Warlocks stand out from a crowd, even among adventurers. Choose a name that has an alien quality to it to achieve this effect. Reversing a normal name is a blunt but effective way to show you are different from other party members.
If your Warlock sees their patron as a corrupt influence, their name might be a good way to relay it. Dropping consonants from a common name can create something that sounds familiar but is uncannily different. You might even scour your class abilities and tweak a word you find there until it sounds like a name.
